Archo’s line of portable media players already offer movie and music playback, a photo viewer, and Wi-Fi access, but the company continues to one-up itself with the new Archos 5 and 7 Internet media tablets. High-speed (HSDPA) mobile broadband support, which you can tack on by purchasing the 3G plug-in (plus a Mini Dock for $29.99 and a wireless carrier’s USB dongle or aircard), joins the grab bag of features, which includes Flash support, Wi-Fi streaming from your PC, and more. These 3.5G-capable systems differ only in screen size (5 inch vs. 7-inch touchscreens) and storage capacity (60GB to 250GB on the 5; 160GB to 320GB on the 7). Both include a free Opera Web browser with registration, more than 1,000 Web TV channels, and a customizable home screen to access your bottomless library of multimedia.
