Japan’s anthropomorphizing of gadgetry continues with a new set of characters designed to promote a series of digital watches. These still-nameless Casio G-Shock characters popped up a few months ago in Japan promoting the model’s 25th anniversary at retail point-of-purchase locations around the country.
Although not available for sale, the characters designed by Shiro Nakano have generated some excitement within Japan’s geek community. If we’re lucky this excitement might eventually prompt Casio to offer the public animated robotic versions of these slick icons of digital time keeping. Check out more views and concept art detailing the G-Shock characters here.
