We know that massive layoffs are happening all over the world, and no country is immune, but to see Nintendo drop one of its hardware is pretty surprising. Word has it that the DS Lite Onyx will be the first of its generation to be removed completely from the lineup, leaving us to wonder whether that is a precedent for other colors especially when the newer DSi is being prepped for an European and American release in the near future. Another way of looking at this rumor would be to purchase as many DS Lite Onyx as possible, hoarding them until they stop production. Who knows? It might end up rare in the near future where you can then trade it for inflation-eaten dollars.

Good points…I would note that as someone who really doesn’t write on blogs much (in fact, this may be my first post), I don’t think the term “lurker” is very flattering to a non-posting reader.
