The new Bull God will feature an earth shattering 700hp V12 and the highest power to weight ratio of any car in its class. Yes, this is the new, long waited Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.

Lamborghini is really good at creating sinister super sports cars, but it is equally as talented at naming them. According to the company, “Aventador” was the name of a bull that entered into battle on October 1993 at the Saragossa Arena, earning the “Trofeo de la Peña La Madroñera” for its outstanding courage. Having the courage to go up against a new world of super sports cars will be the name of the game for the new Lamborghini flagship. Today’s world is extremely high-tech and many new players have entered the arena. Lamborghini has been promoting its carbon-fiber monocoque technology and the Aventador’s 2.9 second 0-62mph, but will that be enough?

According to Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “The Aventador is a jump of two generations in terms of design and technology, it’s the result of an entirely new project, but at the same time it’s a direct and consistent continuation of Lamborghini’s brand values. It is extreme in its design and its performance, uncompromising in its standards and technology, and unmistakably Italian in its style and perfection. Overall, the dynamics and technical excellence of the Aventador LP 700-4 makes it unrivaled in the worldwide super sports car arena.” 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 wallpaper image-1 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 wallpaper image-2 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 wallpaper image-3 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 wallpaper image-4 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 wallpaper image-5 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 wallpaper image-6

Breguet Marine Tourbillon Ref. 5839 High Jewellery Chronograph Watchhttp://gizmoave.com/2011/05/24/3681/ http://gizmoave.com/2011/05/24/3681/#comments Tue, 24 May 2011 06:17:47 +0000 admin http://gizmoave.com/?p=3681 In the watch world diamonds seem to make just about everything better. This Ref. 5839 Marine Troubillon High Jewellery watch is a diamond encrusted version of the Ref. 5937 from a few years ago. Breguet outfitted the watch case and dial with an impressive amount of diamonds, but still was able to retain that signature Breguet Marine watch look.

The 43mm wide 18k white gold case as about 11.77 carats of stones on it. One of the neatest parts is how Breguet was able to maintain the coined edge of the case using specially cut diamonds. Also not the unique pattern the diamonds create for the bezel. On the dial smaller diamonds are set in the middle of the dial and don’t overshadow the hands. The dial itself is silvered 18k gold. Overall Breguet did a great job giving a men’s jewelry watch a functional face.

Inside the watch is a Breguet caliber 554.4 manually wound tourbillon movement with the time and a chronograph complication. The watch has 50 hours of power reserve with special features that include a silicium balance spring and escapement wheel.

Mobile Hotelhttp://gizmoave.com/2010/03/26/mobile-hotel/ http://gizmoave.com/2010/03/26/mobile-hotel/#comments Fri, 26 Mar 2010 19:32:12 +0000 Salman Khan http://gizmoave.com/?p=3474 rotel-egypt

This is what I a call a real mobile hotel. While traveling in a bus you enjoy the scenic splendor at best, but you always miss the comfort of being at home or at a hotel. But here is a bus that will make you feel comfortable wherever you go – in other words you can say it’s a hotel on wheels.

This bus is owned and operated as Rotel which is the acronym of a German tour company – The Rolling Hotel and a custom-modified Mercedes 0404 is used for the purpose. This bus features 24 passenger seats and 26 sleeping berths.

The coach is the combination of Greyhound bus and a motor home and offers a separate room with six foot long bed for each passenger. This Bus/hotel rooms are merely three foot high and wide but luxurious enough to provide passengers a comfortable ride. The Rolling Hotel provides tours facilities from Africa to Europe to Asia.

On the curb side across from the berths is an extensive drop-down “camp kitchen” set up. This bus has a single bathroom, but there are no showers or bathing facility. Nevertheless, travel has reached a new dimension with the bus coaches.

Sofa Boat – Be a couch potato on a lakehttp://gizmoave.com/2010/03/02/sofa-boat/ http://gizmoave.com/2010/03/02/sofa-boat/#comments Tue, 02 Mar 2010 16:48:05 +0000 admin http://gizmoave.com/?p=3205 sofa-boat

After owning this new sofa boat, all I’ll need is a fleet of dolphins with flat screen tv’s installed on their body, and then my life as a couch potato will be complete. The curiously named ‘sofa boat’ was a star attraction at the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show last week, ferrying visitors and VIPS alike around the superyachts, marinas, and pontoons, all under the power of an electric engine.

The electric boat, who was enjoying its maiden voyage at ADYS, is a 3.5m ‘floating fun platform’ – designed, developed and built in the UAE with a folding sun canopy covering the seating area, joystick steering, and a soft-foam bumper to allow easy manouvrability among other craft in crowded marinas.

‘I wanted to offer boats that were enjoyable to women and families – low noise, easy-to-handle craft that are perfect for quiet sundowners or a more glamorous arrival at a private yacht than in a tender,’ says Dr Martin Mai, Managing Director, Abra Marine, the boat’s designer and manufacturer.

‘The boat is completely powered by electricity and has 0% carbon-dioxide emissions. It can be charged via an electric socket and has batteries that give it 12 hours of continuous power. We also have a solar-powered version in development.’

The solar-powered version will run by the power generated by seven square metre solar panels that generate 1,000W peak electric energy, with the ability to run for up to 10-hours. The company also offers a ‘B2B’ version of the sofa boat – complete with laptop docking points and a fridge for refreshments on the go, perfect for those extremely confidential business meetings out at sea.

Capt. Berend Lens van Rijn, CEO of Belevari Marine, the Abu Dhabi-based marine consultancy, charter, brokerage and service company responsible for bringing this concept boat to ADYS, says the company is currently in talks to set up a charter licence to charter the boats in Abu Dhabi.

The basic model is offered at AED59,000 with add-on customisation options such as luxurious leather seats, refreshment tables, a stereo system onboard or a two-sofa configuration.

Virgin’s Flying Submarine Ridehttp://gizmoave.com/2010/02/19/virgins-flying-submarine-ride/ http://gizmoave.com/2010/02/19/virgins-flying-submarine-ride/#comments Fri, 19 Feb 2010 16:52:20 +0000 Salman Khan http://gizmoave.com/?p=2771 richard-branson-flying-submarine

Virgin mogul Richard Branson recently unveiled a new ocean plaything for the intrepid super rich: A deep-sea submarine. “Necker Nymph,” an “underwater plane” that can dive up to 40 meters below the surface, is the latest addition to to Branson’s luxury collection which includes a private island, a superyacht and a spaceship.

For those wealthy enough to indulge, the experience aboard the submarine, which is nimble enough to perform “dolphin-like flips,” will be like “flying underwater,” said Branson’s Virgin Limited Edition division.

But even for those with deep enough pockets, it doesn’t come cheap: $25,000 for a week’s charter and another $88,000 for the sub’s superyacht launch vessel, “Necker Belle.”

The $631,000 flying sub, the first of its kind, uses fighter jet technology and was designed by Hawkes Ocean Technologies. It is transparent enough to allow divers a 360-degree view of marine life and Virgin is marketing it as a way to view dolphins and whales close up.

The new sub also appears to be environmentally friendly. It is buoyant, which stops it from mistakenly landing on reefs, and it is relatively quiet — allowing it to pass through fragile ecosystems without causing too much upheaval, Virgin says.

Potential deep-sea divers must take half-day safety courses beforehand and can then dive for up to two hours at a time.

The submarine will be delivered to Necker Island, Branson’s private Caribbean hideaway, later this month.

“Necker Nymph” is not Branson’s first foray onto the frontlines of adventure technology.

Last December, he unveiled “SpaceShipTwo,” a spacecraft that promises to take civilians into orbit for a cool $200,000 by 2011.

Super Yachthttp://gizmoave.com/2010/02/14/super-yacht/ http://gizmoave.com/2010/02/14/super-yacht/#comments Sun, 14 Feb 2010 21:01:56 +0000 admin http://gizmoave.com/?p=2515 http://www.ships-info.info/design/Eclipse_yacht.jpg

Barely out of a global economic meltdown, the world’s remaining billionaires have been presented with the largest and most extravagant superyacht yet.

The floating palace has been designed at a whopping 656 feet (200 meters) in length — as long as two football fields end-to-end.

If built, it would surpass the world’s current largest private yacht, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich’s “Eclipse,” by 99 feet (30 meters).

With a myriad of over-the-top luxury toys — including a two-level cinema, a nightclub and helipad — the yacht unsurprisingly comes with a hefty price tag.

Berkeley March, the yacht’s naval architect, told CNN the boat could cost up to $1 billion (£650 million) to build, “depending on the needs of the clients.”

When you are used to living in a palace with dozens of servants, you don’t want to cruise the world on a small yacht
–Berkeley March

“For example, the client could request gold furniture,” March explained.

The designers believe that despite the recession, there are still enough people who have a spare $1 billion to spend on what is described as the “ultimate luxury.”

“Some people may say the timing was a little bit daft,” March said. “But I think that many people who previously would not have had the power to buy such a yacht, are thinking that now is their chance. The people left with a lot of money have more power now, as there is less demand.”

According to March, the yacht, now known only as “Project 1000,” could be in the water in under five years.

Replete with features that would make even the most blasé billionaire take notice, it will also include a drive-in-garage, a 100-foot swimming pool, a casino, a health spa and numerous bars and nightclubs.

According to March, the recession did not change rich people’s beliefs that “size matters.”

“When you are used to living in a palace with dozens of servants, you don’t want to cruise the oceans on a small yacht,” he said.

And at the end of the day, added March, “recession or not, it’s still all about men’s egos.”

Honk Kong’s New Fleethttp://gizmoave.com/2009/08/10/hong-kong-solaris/ http://gizmoave.com/2009/08/10/hong-kong-solaris/#comments Mon, 10 Aug 2009 15:08:02 +0000 Salman Khan http://gizmoave.com/?p=2483

Hong Kong rolls out world\'s first fleet of solar ferries

We’ve already told you about solar-powered cargo ships, now Hong Kong has decided to combat the area’s pollution problems by deploying solar-powered ferries. According to the makers of the vehicles, Solar Sailor Holdings Ltd., the ferries will operate using three-quarters solar energy and only one-quarter liquefied petroleum gas, potentially reducing carbon-dioxide output on the route by roughly half.

Purchased by the well-heeled Hong Kong Jockey Club for an undisclosed sum estimated to be in the millions, the green vehicles will go into operation in November.
