Talk about a full fledge charge on multi-touch LCD screens. Lenovo has introduced three LCD monitors, the 21.5-inch L2261, 23-inch L2361p, and 23.6-inch L2461x. All have 1080p resolution, and the 23.6-inch model is one of Lenovo’s first with multi-touch capability. This high-end model also has built-in speakers, a microphone, four USB ports and a 2-megapixel webcam. The panel is fast with a 120Hz refresh and musters 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1,000:1 contrast and a 5ms pixel response time.

There are also two HDCP-compliant HDMI 1.3 ports along with a VGA connection.

The L2261 only gets VGA and DVI inputs, while its panel has a 250 cd/m2 brightness, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a 5ms response time.

The L2361p while a conventional screen is is more functional, with an HDCP-compliant HDMI input, a VGA connection and a stand that mimics those found on TVs. It carries are integrated speakers and a microphone, along with three USB ports and a VGA camera. Push buttons are absent, replaced with capacitive touch buttons instead.

While pricing and ship dates for North America are absent so far, a pair of vendor sites hint the L2461x may cost under $600 despite an equivalent suggested retail price of $1,145 in the Netherlands. The three should begin shipping in North America before the end of March, although Lenovo has not confirmed this.

The XDAndroid project, for Windows Mobile devices with (W)VGA displays, has progressed tremendously since we last filmed a video about it. A few months ago, we loaded it onto an HTC Diamond2 and not too many components worked. We were able to navigate around parts of the interface and use apps that didn’t require a data connection, but that was about it. Progression of time and development tend to go hand in hand, so we decided to follow-up on Android for Windows phones. This time we tested it on an HTC Touch Pro2 (CDMA) and the results are astonishing. Watch the video below to see Android in action on a Sprint Touch Pro2 with working calls, SMS and data!

Now you can see what’s under your couch without eating dust. When it comes to being a robot vacuum the G182, available from Chinavasion, does everything you’d expect a reasonably equipped model to do these days, like automatically dock with the charging base when the battery gets low, and it comes with a wireless IR virtual fence to keep it from wandering into places it shouldn’t go.

But the inclusion of a remote controlled pan and tilt IR-equipped webcam, which has the unfortunate side effect of ensuring it won’t fit under most couches, means the G182 also doubles as a remote cleaning tool and surveillance unit that can be controlled and monitored from anywhere in the world you have a net connection. It connects to your home wi-fi network providing both a live video and audio feed, and the whole setup is perfect for anyone who’s ever worried that someone might break into their home only to be horrified to find the floors are dirty. How embarrassing! ~$500.

Yes, and we have another tablet. Though cheap Android craptablets were a commodity item at CeBIT 2010, that doesn’t mean we didn’t find the occasional diamond in the rough. Specifically, the Hanvon Touchpad BC10C, a sleek, multitouch Windows 7 device with specs firmly entrenched in high-end netbook territory. Thanks to our friend jkkmobile, we now know exactly what’s powering this thing — a comparatively juice-gulping 1.3GHz Celeron M ULV 743 CPU and GMA4500 graphics — and that when it comes to the US and Europe, it’ll cost a little more than we thought, hovering around $877. Mind you, that price bump might be worth it when you consider just how smoothly the 10-inch tablet performs (peep 1080p video and Microsoft Surface Globe demos after the break) but also know your YouTube surfing sessions will be limited by a simply sad 3.5 hours of battery life. For when “mobile” isn’t an important word in your vocabulary… the BC10C launches in China March 25th.

So now I can save “Curb your enthusiasm” episodes on my HDTV, yippy!Sony intro’d some 3D Bravia HDTVs a while back, and while that didn’t really whet our appetite an LCD with built-in storage is always palatable. To be released by Sony Japan, the BX30H is available in in up to 32-inches and packs 500GB of storage — not particularly earth-shattering, but it should prove useful for DVR-ing episodes of The Marriage Ref. [Did we say that? We meant WWE: Raw.] Available in both colors (black and white), this model is, sadly, only available in Japan. For those of us stuck in the states, the BX300 is available in 22- and 32-inch sizes (and only in black). All of the above feature a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, CCFL backlighting, 720p HD resolution, 5.1 channel audio output and more. Yankees can expect to pay $279 for the 22-inch or $419 for the 32-inch, while prices in Japan TBA.

Show off your Marvel love with one of these. Whether you’re a fan of Iron Man, The Hulk, The Punisher, Wolverine, or all of the X-Men The Marvel Coloud Headphones have something for you.

It would be too simple to describe these headphones and their frequency sensitivity, db output and the like. So, instead why not read what Coloud says about their own cans:

“Coloud turns brands into sound. Our cords transfer visual life from any music player you choose to plug it into. We create function, value design and promote quality headphones that endure, enrich, and extend your lifelong music experience.”

Personally I’m doubting that you’d be buying these headphones for their audiophile reproduction – more for the fact that The Punisher logo looks cool or Wolverine is one of the bestest Marvel characters. EVER!

The ever popular partnership of a sunny day mixed with one’s favorite tunes takes on a new meaning with Japanese company Landport’s Solar Sound speakers. Said to be Japan’s first set of solar powered speakers, the black and white units feature top facing solar panels and offer connectivity to portable music players via a stereo mini input.

While a full charge is said to offer between five to eight hours of playback time, no sun equals no problem thanks to the ability to charge the lithium ion batteries via USB 2.0 connectivity. Measuring 19.5 x 11.2 x 5cm and weighing in at 290g, the Solar Sound speakers have an output of 2w x 2ch and will be priced around 5,250 yen (US$60).

The Landport Solar Sound speakers are due for a Japanese release later this month.
