It includes a controller with a 6.2-inch screen. The addition of a second screen in a bedroom or living room enhances a plethora of new video game experiences while offering a variety of options of entertainment.

Before, playing video games at home have been restricted to the TV and offered similar perspectives to each player in a multiplayer setting. Also, playing video games and watching TV have been totally separate experiences. With this new controller, it removes all of these boundaries, creating a more dynamic gaming and entertainment experience. Expected to release in 2012 but stay tuned for updates.

old nes gets a new life as an electric guitarhttp://gizmoave.com/2010/12/13/old-nes-gets-a-new-life-as-an-electric-guitar/ http://gizmoave.com/2010/12/13/old-nes-gets-a-new-life-as-an-electric-guitar/#comments Mon, 13 Dec 2010 14:54:41 +0000 chris b. http://technabob.com/blog/?p=44925 How often do you play your old NES? I bet you’d play it more if it were a guitar.

That’s right, someone out there got the brilliant idea to take an old NES and convert it into a fully-functional electric guitar. The console has been gutted, and replaced with solid oak on the inside, along with a reused guitar neck, and a number of other essential parts to craft the GetLoFi Nintendo Guitar.

Unfortunately the video that they provided doesn’t do much to sell the guitar. In all honesty, it sounds like crap. The real question is whether it has anything to do with the person holding the guitar, or if it’s just going to sound bad all of the time. I wouldn’t mind seeing another video with some better audio to get a better feel for it.  At least it looks cool, and is functional. If you want one for yourself, you’ll need to wait until they come back in stock, then you can throw down your $150 for it.

Wii push up for $25http://gizmoave.com/2010/03/13/wii-push-up-for-25/ http://gizmoave.com/2010/03/13/wii-push-up-for-25/#comments Sun, 14 Mar 2010 01:51:16 +0000 admin http://gizmoave.com/?p=3334 wii-pushups

Workout while playing Wii! Who would have thought that playing video games might actually get you in the fitness groove? We do admit, however, that the Wii has gotten many couch potatoes off the couch in some ways, and while that won’t make you the biggest loser (after the reality show) in your family, it does burn a wee bit more calories than just sitting around, thumbing that joypad. Well, the Wii Balance Board Push Up Bar takes things one step further by functioning as a push up bar attachment on your balance board, featuring adjustable grips that let you “go deeper than you would if the floor stopped you.” Compatible with Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus as well as the New U Fitness and Jillian Fitness Ultimatum titles, this uniqe gaming accessory is going for $25 on Amazon as a pre-order.

Features:

  • Made specifically for the Wii FitTM balance board
  • Attaches securely to the top of the balance board
  • foam  under platform, securing grip on the balance board
  • raises your body higher to perform deeper pushups as you go down, past your chest
  • removable, adjustable angle handles

Compatible with the following Wii and Wii Fit games:

  • New U fitness
  • Wii fit
  • Wii fit plus
  • Jillian fitness ultimatum 2009

The Black Nintendo Wiihttp://gizmoave.com/2009/07/16/the-black-nintendo-wii/ http://gizmoave.com/2009/07/16/the-black-nintendo-wii/#comments Thu, 16 Jul 2009 14:21:27 +0000 Salman Khan http://gizmoave.com/?p=2420 blackwii1

Nintendo is releasing a whole new Wii, it’s far far different than the old Wii.  This one is shiny, new and all black.  None of that bright white will be featured on this Wii, it’s gotten a bit of a makeover.  They’re probably trying to make it appeal to the hardcore gamers, because everyone knows jet black consoles are far cooler.  There’s probably some scientific reason behind it, I hear even the Xbox plays better when it’s painted black.

Alright, so that’s all bull, but you have to admit, the Wii is looking pretty good covered in all black.  Not that the pearly white didn’t look good, but it’s a refreshing change.  This black console is being released in Japan actually, as of the first of August.  They had mentioned they would eventually be releasing this black console, but now that it’s getting closer they’re showing off the new packaging. There isn’t a release date for the rest of the world though.  Actually, they aren’t really saying much of anything about whether or not they’ll ever release it so that the rest of us can buy one too.

5 Consoles in 1http://gizmoave.com/2009/06/06/5-consoles-in-one/ http://gizmoave.com/2009/06/06/5-consoles-in-one/#comments Sat, 06 Jun 2009 16:07:29 +0000 Salman Khan http://gizmoave.com/?p=2282 Handheld Game Emulator sticks five consoles in your pocket

Now this is a slick little device. While sure, you could go get a new Nintendo DSi or PSP Go and play all sorts of new games, what if you’re just interested in retro games? Well, the Retro Pocket Game Emulator is designed to do just that.

This small gaming device has 4GB of built-in memory and a mini-SD card slot for more space, allowing it to tote around with it hundreds of old SNES, NES, GBA, Sega Genesis and Neo Geo games, all of which can be obtained for free online. And for only $100, it’s cheaper than a DSi or PSP. Who needs new games, anyways?

No More DS Lite Onyxhttp://gizmoave.com/2009/02/10/no-more-ds-lite-onyx/ http://gizmoave.com/2009/02/10/no-more-ds-lite-onyx/#comments Tue, 10 Feb 2009 21:48:29 +0000 Salman Khan http://gizmoave.com/?p=2132 DS Lite Onyx Gets The Axe

We know that massive layoffs are happening all over the world, and no country is immune, but to see Nintendo drop one of its hardware is pretty surprising. Word has it that the DS Lite Onyx will be the first of its generation to be removed completely from the lineup, leaving us to wonder whether that is a precedent for other colors especially when the newer DSi is being prepped for an European and American release in the near future. Another way of looking at this rumor would be to purchase as many DS Lite Onyx as possible, hoarding them until they stop production. Who knows? It might end up rare in the near future where you can then trade it for inflation-eaten dollars.

Old School Nintendo Jackethttp://gizmoave.com/2009/01/17/old-school-nintendo-jacket/ http://gizmoave.com/2009/01/17/old-school-nintendo-jacket/#comments Sat, 17 Jan 2009 20:04:03 +0000 Salman Khan http://gizmoave.com/?p=2082 nes-jacket-1.jpg

This NES Controller Varsity Jacket is available for $200* from 80′sTees and has a giant fucking NES controller on the back, hence the name. It’s only being made in a limited edition of 1,000 and allegedly they’re already running out of several sizes, so if you want one, you better act quickly. Same goes for if you want some of this. No, I’m serious — my girlfriend should be back any minute.
